1998 Brickyard 400
Indianapolis, Indiana
Steve & I took our second annual trip to the Brickyard 400 this year from July 30th to August 2. This year Steve's
grandfather, Bill Englebert went with us. We had a great time! (in spite of the fact that neither of our drivers won) Here's a
picture of the track and of the Goodyear Blimp...

This year was also the inaugural running of the IROC (International Race of Champions) at Indianapolis. It was held on Friday.
Mark Martin won both the race and the Championship...

The Brickyard race was on Sunday. We had beautiful weather. Here is a shot of the beginning of the race, and Steve and
Grandpa Englebert.

And here is a shot of the winner's car...

On the way home we stopped by Laura's house in Chicago to visit, have lunch, and check out her new apartment...
