Squeeeeeek. Squeeeeeek. Squeeeeeeeeeek.
The kids are home from school today. Parent-Teacher conferences. So there is much going in and out of the front door. April’s friend is over working on a Science project. Apparently, there is much stuff in her car requiring multiple trips in and out. In and out.
Every time the door opens or closes there is an annoying squeaking sound. It didn’t take long for that to get on my nerves so I went scrabbling in my household toolbox looking for the WD-40. Then I went around the house opening and closing the door to every room, closet and cabinet. I was surprised at how many of them had a creak or squeak. So I treated them all.
After that I spent the rest of the day in the attic. I have a new Spring resolution: Get rid of all the CRAP I’m storing but not using or don’t need. There’s a lot of it tucked away up there.
So, I’ve been sorting through boxes and organizing the stuff that’s up there. Some of those boxes haven’t been opened in years. There’s knick-knacky and decorative stuff. Kitchenware and dishes. Camping equipment. Lamps and such. A nice carpet. Clothing and what-not that the kids have grown out of and that I meant to take to the Goodwill. A Cornucopia of CRAP, if you will.
Before I throw it all in the Goodwill box I thought I’d give you kids (and other loyal readers/family members) a chance at it. So tomorrow I’ll be taking some pictures of the CRAP that I have and posting it for you to lay claim to. If you want any of my CRAP just let me know and I’ll be happy to give it to you.
