That’s your mother calling - not Hollywood

Have I got a treat for you guys - 2 posts in one week! Woo Hoo!

script.jpgA couple of weeks ago, our house was turned into a movie set for a school assignment. My youngest was pressed into service as a cast member and my son Jon tried out his skills as an actor. Let’s just say that Hollywood isn’t missing out on anything and that college is a much better fit for his skills.

Not that he was that terrible. In fact, he made me laugh out loud several times. Mostly because of the role he played - a lazy gamer boy living in his mom’s basement. Hmmm. Type casting? Not quite yet but if he’s still down there in 5 years …

Another thing in the movie that made me laugh was the eerie resemblance of the movie Johnny’s attitude to my own son’s attitude. Those looks? Those smucky comments? Practiced in real life frequently.

Also? The farmer, Violet beating on Jon and of course, the trans-gendered girlfriend. Funny.

Check it out… Johnny’s Day

It’s a fairly large file - too long for YouTube - but be patient, it’s worth a few laughs.

BwaHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, my sides! They buuuurrrn! Oh, Oh, “Not again!” That, and the techno-logic over the lawn-mower scene. Was that Dad’s mower? Did he not, like, cringe as Jon beat it up?

I know who assigned that video, too. Way better than the one I had to do. My group insisted on making it about suicide. Ugh.

That was dad’s mower and I did notice him flinch a little when he was watching the video. No damage to the mower - it was mostly for show - so no damage to Jon :-)
